一、研究领域
研究领域围绕珊瑚礁生物学与生态学关键问题，开展珊瑚礁生物多样性和珊瑚礁生态系统结构与功能演化研究，内容涵盖珊瑚礁生态调查监测、珊瑚礁生态系统评价、珊瑚礁生态保护与修复、珊瑚礁生态预警与防灾减灾、珊瑚礁生态系统对全球变化的响应等工作。重点关注的是珊瑚礁固着底栖生物多样性与群落演替，尤其固着底栖生物间的空间竞争机制问题和珊瑚幼体补充格局及其影响因素研究。
